Bound by Time

At all times I am yours,

for all time you are mines.

The potent glue that seals us;

we are bound by time.

Lost in the moments, the seconds fly by,

but the memories that exist

are endless, if only in our minds.

Husbands chained to their wives

gladly awaiting death to depart.

Parents attached to their children,

invisible strings tug at their hearts.

But our love is not held

together by vows or by blood.

We are linked by the minutes,

secure in the hours and

joined through the years

that time has allowed us.
